Basic Biographical Details Name: | Alexander Milne Wilson | Designation: | | Born: | 23 December 1913 | Died: | 20 May 1997 | Bio Notes: | Alexander Milne Wilson was born on 23 December 1913 and studied full-time at Aberdeen School of Architecture for three years from September 1931. He continued to attend evening classes thereafter whilst articled to James Brown Nicol of Kelly & Nicol from August 1934. He obtained his diploma in June 1937 and was promoted to assistant in the same practice on 20 July. He was admitted ARIBA on 6 December that year, his proposers being Nicol, R Leslie Rollo and John Gibb Marr. He was also an Associate of Aberdeen Society of Architects. By 1950 he had taken a post with the Aberdeen City Architect's Department. In about 1963 he was County Architect and Planning Officer of Banffshire, a post which he retained until retirement which was in the 1970s.
