Basic Biographical Details Name: | Robert Alexander Scott | Designation: | | Born: | 28 September 1908 | Died: | 1973 | Bio Notes: | Robert Alexander Scott was born on 28 September 1908 and was articled to T Aikman Swan from 1925 to 1930, attending morning classes at Edinburgh College of Art under John Begg. He took day classes from 1930 to 1932 and obtained his diploma in the latter year, passing the Professional Practice exam in Edinburgh in December 1933. This enabled him to be admitted ARIBA early the following year, his proposers being Begg, Swan and Charles Denny Carus-Wilson. At that time he was working in the office of T P Marwick & Son. He was also an Associate of the Edinburgh Architectural Association.
He moved to Cumberland prior to 1960.
