Basic Biographical Details Name: | Alexander Sinclair Wemyss MacKay | Designation: | | Born: | 1878 | Died: | 1940 | Bio Notes: | Alexander Sinclair Wemyss MacKay waas born in 1878 but it is not yet known where was articled. He studied at the Architectural Association in London and emigrated to Nelson, BC, wher he designed a number of buildings before recommencing practice in North Vancouver in 1911. In 1912 he formed a successful partnership with Henry Blackadder who had arrived in North Vancouver in the same year, the practice title being Blackadder & MacKay. Their partnership was interrupted in 1917 when both were commissioned as lieutenants, but resumed after the war.
