Bio Notes: Charles James Doig was a son of Charles Chree Doig of Elgin, and became a partner in his father's firm along with his brother Major William H Doig. Another brother, Alexander Doig, was a CA in the War Office, London.

William died in 1947, and Charles in 1975. In the 1950s Charles was responsible for some excellent housing in East Road and South College Street, Elgin, which won a Saltire award. The practice was taken over by Alister James Morrison in the 1950s as Alister J Morrison & Co, a title it retained until the 1990s, well after Morrison's death. The practice records were deposited in the Moray District Record Office in Forres in 1981 and transferred to Elgin Libraries in 1987.
