Bio Notes: Arthur Prideaux was born in Cornwall but his family presumably moved to Edinburgh when he was young as he was articled to J N Scott & A Lorne Campbell in April 1907, studying at Edinburgh College of Art. He remained as assistant after completing his apprenticeship and became an Associate of the Edinburgh Architectural Association but emigrated to Canada in 1913 and joined the staff of Nobbs & Hyde in Montreal. He remained with the latter firm until his death, with the exception of war service (1915 to 1919) with the University Company, Princess Pat's Canadian Light Infantry, and was admitted ARIBA in mid-1923, his proposers being Percy Erskine Nobbs, William Carless and Ramsay Traquair.

He died on 23 December 1937.
