Name: John Wilson (junior)
Designation:
Born:

Bio Notes: John Wilson Junior was the elder son of Thomas (or John - there is a conflict of information in sources) Wilson, builder, of Glasgow. He took over his father's business in 1837, in partnership with his younger brother, the architect Charles Wilson, the firm name being John & Charles Wilson. As Gildard put it, John was the 'back seat' man in the business, and in 1839 the partnership was dissolved, Charles thereafter practising only as an architect from 41 George Square.
