Bio Notes:	Francis Winton Newman was born in 1878, the son of Samuel James Newman of Poole. He was articled to his father from 1894 to 1897 and subsequently worked as assistant in a number of London offices before commencing independent practice in 1902 whist still assisting Ernest Newton. In 1907 he entered into partnership with Henry Victor Ashley. Newman died in 1953.
