Basic Biographical Details Name: | James Sibbald | Designation: | | Born: | | Died: | c. 1923(?) | Bio Notes: | James Sibbald was born in Dundee, the son of the architect Robert Sibbald to whom he was articled. He was taken into partnership sometime before 1898 and succeeded to the practice on his father's death in February 1910, practising in his own name only thereafter. His practice was closely associated with the property agents John G Sibbald & Son which sometimes acted on their behalf as agents. In 1919 an advertisement appeared in the Dundee Evening Telegraph which announced that Sibbald had been demobilised and was recommencing his practice at 25 Commercial Street. In about 1920 the practice was absorbed by John G Sibbald & Son.
