Basic Biographical Details Name: | Tawse & Allan | Designation: | | Born: | 1919 | Died: | After 1940 | Bio Notes: | Henry S Tawse was born in 1890, the fourth son of Peter Tawse, contractor and youinger brother of William Tawse. He attended classes at Aberdeen University, Glasgow University and the Royal College of Science & Technology, Glasgow. He must have served in the First World War, reaching the rank of Colonel. He appears to have worked in association with Walter Ramsay Davidson of Lincoln's Inn, London c.1923 but this must have been a loose arrangement as he was already working in partnership with George J Allan in Aberdeen from 1919 and continued with him until at least 1936. At the time of his death late in 1959 he was deputy lieutenant and a JP. A 'Mr Mackie' was in the practice, presumably as partner, in 1936. This was perhaps Donald A Mackie. | Private and Business AddressesThe following private or business addresses are associated with this : | | Address | Type | Date from | Date to | Notes | | Aberdeen, Scotland | Business | | | | | 10, Bon-Accord Square, Aberdeen, Scotland | Business | 1926 | | | | 343, Union Street, Great Western Road, Aberdeen, Scotland | Business | 1951 | | | | 9, Bon Accord Crescent, Aberdeen | Business(?) | 24 May 1957 | | address given in Builder p973; given again in 2 August 1957 Builder p220 |
