He practised in Inverness in the 1850s. He is described as being 'of Clune'. In 1855 he emigrated to 'British America' at which time a presentation was made to him which consisted of a massive gold pencil case and pen holder, a gold signet ring, a solid silver 'Squab as e' and a silver mounted snuff horn.
