Bio Notes: James Wilson, born in 1816, ran an important practice from 1839 in Bath with much work for the Methodists. He had a short-term collaboration with Thomas Fuller in the early 1850s. Wilson's main partner was William John Wilcox (1838-1928) who was a former pupil and who worked with him from about 1862 to 1886 when he became County Surveyor for East Somerset and untimately Somerset County Architect, 1910-24. Wilson's son, James Buckley Wilson (1959-1900) was a partner from 1872 -1882 as Wilson Willcox & Wilson and then went to practice in Swansea.
