Bio Notes: James Murray was born in Armagh, Northern Ireland on 9 December 1831 and was articled to Walter Scott of Liverpool in 1845. He commenced practice in Liverpool in partnership with Thomas Denville Barry. He moved to Coventry and then to London, where he practised with Edward Welby Pugin before returning to Coventry. He died there on 24 October 1863. The successors to his practice were Thomas E Murray and G H Thomas of Liverpool.
