Basic Biographical Details Name: | St Aubyn & Wadling | Designation: | | Born: | Before 1885 | Died: | Before 1918 | Bio Notes: | James Piers St Aubyn was born on 6 April 1815 at Powick Vicarage, Worcestershire, and was a pupil of Thomas Fulljames in Gloucester. He practised on his own account in London and Devonport. In 1858 he took on Henry John Wadling as an apprentice, and Wadling stayed with him thereafter as assistant and managing clerk until he was taken into partnership some time before 1885.
St Aubyn was admitted ARIBA on 27 February 1837 and FRIBA on 10 March 1856; Wadling was admitted ARIBA on 20 November 1865 and FRIBA on 19 November 1888. St Aubyn was Surveyor to the Honorable Society of the Middle Temple from 1851 until his retirement in 1885, when Wadling succeeded to the position.
