Bio Notes: David Henry was born in Carnoustie in 1835 and apprenticed to a cabinetmaker. He entered the office of Jesse Hall in St Andrews as an assistant in 1862. Following a period gaining wider experience in Edinburgh and studying at the Trustees' Academy, he was taken into partnership by Hall in 1874, the practice title becoming Hall & Henry. After Hall withdrew from the partnership in 1884, Henry continued the practice in St Andrews until his death in February 1914.
