Bio Notes: John G Hamilton was a son of Glasgow architect John H Hamilton; it is not clear whether he was a product of his father's first marriage to Agnes Alexander (died 1877), or a late child of his second to Clara Louisa Markham. His brother or half-brother Arthur Donaldson Hamilton, who was a partner in the family firm, died during active service in the First World War, leaving John G Hamilton to continue his father's practice after the latter's death on 22 March 1935. At that date his address was 18 Belhaven Terrace. By the end of the same decade he had moved to 12 Cleveden Crescent. No further details of him are yet known.
