Bio Notes: Isaac Dixon worked from the Windsor Iron Works, Liverpool. The company designed and made pre-fabricated timber-framed corruagted iron buildings, similar to Spiers & Co in Glasgow. They produced a huge variety of building types from skating rinks and sanatoria to whole farms and multi-purpose barracks. They exported a large number of buildings. In their advertising literature they said (in the 1860s): the 'church building department having recently been placed under the management of an experienced architect'.
