Bio Notes: James Drummond was born in Pollokshaws in about 1801. He practisedas an architect in Paisley from the 1820s. His wife was Julia (born 1803 in Paisley) and they had a large family, at least four daughters and three sons. The youngest son died in 1861.

He seems to have died before 1871 as he cannot be traced in Census records at this date. He was certainly dead by 1884 at the time of the marriage of his 3rd daughter, Julia, in that year.
