Bio Notes: Donald Cattanach (sometimes erroneously spelt Cattenach) ) was born on 27 June 1880 at Strone, Newtonmore, the son of Alexander Cattanach, architect, Kingussie. He was educated at Kingussie Higher Grade School and trained as an Engineer and Surveyor (he was M.I.M.& Cy.E) and in 1905 was appointed Burgh Surveyor of Kingussie.
