Bio Notes: Charles Crawford was born on 17 January 1866. He was articled to Malcolm Stark in Glasgow in 1886 and remained as an assistant in the Stark & Rowntree firm until 1892. This was followed by a period of private study and a short spell working under the County Engineer of Aberdeen, where he was engaged principally on the supervision and design of police stations. He commenced practice on his own account in 1896 in Uddingston. He was elected LRIBA on 24 June 1912, proposed by Alexander Nisbet Paterson and the Glasgow Institute of Architects.
