In the late 1920s and early 1930s they worked with James Gavin Callander on branches for the local Co-operative Society. In 1939-40 Blakey appears as a Fellow and Member of Council of the Stirling Society of Architects, the Stirling chapter of the RIAS. Blakey continued the practice after Copland's death in 1942, until his own death on 19 February 1968 when it was taken over by Ronald B Blakey.
