Bio Notes: William Henry White was born in January 1838 and was articled to George Morgan of London from 1858. He passed the qualifying exam and was admitted ARIBA on 15 February 1864, his proposers being J P Seddon, C F Hayward and T Roger Smith and was elected FRIBA on 16 March 1868, his proposers being Smith and Hayward again and Charles Barry Junior. He was in practice in Paris from 1866 to 1870 and in the following year went to India to a take up a post in the Public Works Department of the Indian Government. He returned to England in 1873.

He died in London on 20 October 1896.
